More about Destiny & her journey as a homemaker.

Hello and welcome! I’m Destiny, the heart and hands behind this blog. A Child of God, wife to my high school sweetheart and mama to 4. My journey of frugal homemaking hasn’t always been easy, in the early years of my marriage I didn’t know how to cook healthy foods. Although my grandparents put my in several cooking classes as a child I was never taught the good ol old fashioned skills you need to create yummy, healthy meals without breaking the bank. I feel for the greenwashing of pre-packaged things that say “organic” & “all natural”.

After my 2nd son was born in 2018 my eyes were opened even more to the false advertisements and that the foods I was purchasing was not only draining our bank account but wasn’t actually as healthy as the package claimed. This is when I went on a mission to make my foods from scratch.

God created us perfect and whole, He created food to heal and nourish our bodies, I’m grateful for the knowledge & technology we have BUT we cannot replace what He has given us, whole foods, fruits and veggies & praise be the Lord meat.

As I grow in my walk with the Lord, as a wife & mother I am longing for more of a slow, peace-filled life.

A perfect day…
