Hello! I’m Destiny!

I’m so glad you are here.

The Simply Living Mama is where you will find fresh milled breads, potato flake sourdough recipes, from scratch meals, a Christ-centered motherhood and everything in between.

I am a child of God, Jesus is my Lord & savior. I strive to center everything in my life around Him. I had to grow up quickly from a young age, coming from a broken home with lots of abuse, I don’t know where I would be without Him and my grandparents always encouraging me and pointing me to Him. I am incredible thankful to have a perfect heavenly Father, He is our healer & comforter.

A wife, to my high school sweetheart. I’ve always wanted to be a wife and a mother but I never knew I would find my soulmate so soon in life. Praise Yahweh. Both of us coming from broken homes we knew from the beginning that we wanted something different. We wanted to break the generational cycles with our family. We wanted our relationship to be centered in the Lord and to raise our children to know and love Him. We are still learning and growing and healing but praise be to God that we have each other.

Mama. Children are a gift from the Lord and I’m so thankful.. What a dream it is to be able to be a mother to these four beautiful babies. Four earthside and one in the arms of our heavenly Father. My number one prayer is that through my actions and not just my words that they can see God’s light shinning through me, that they continue to grow a love for the Lord. It isn’t always easy but they bring me so much joy.
